mule

I am a self-proclaimed mule-lover since the tender age of 16 and boy I’m glad to see them back in the fashion world again! I have never bought suede ones before so currently I’m searching for a perfect pair in suede. Looks like the best new styles come in two types – open or closed toe. I guess for Singapore’s insane humidity open toe will be more practical but when I saw the Chanel two-tone pearl-heeled mules (Kirstin Stewart apparently has been seen wearing these before) I had to agree that the pointed toe ones add more elegance and femininity (not that I can afford the chanel ones now). So as for my alternative/cheaper option, I found a blush suede pair by Reiss with stacked heels. I can definitely imagine myself wearing these to work or casual outings.

Dusty pink colour is my all time favourite – it is feminine and romantic but not in the sickly sweet sense. I like the vintage and nostalgic feelings this colour evokes when used in interiors.

I’m still on the hunt for our new home in Singapore, which hasn’t been easy at all. Singapore’s muggy and humid summer weather is making it worse (also I don’t have a car anymore) but at the same time I’m really looking forward to decorating my new house from scratch. I think this is what motivates me everyday to get out and continue the house hunt again.

My favorite space to decorate would be our bedroom as I believe it should be the most pleasant and coziest space of the house. I haven’t gathered all my ideas yet but I’m definitely certain on one thing – I am buying a linen duvet for our bed because 1) it is likely going to be a small bedroom in an apartment. To maximize an open & airy feeling, I want to use breezy, lightweight fabrics. White would be a good color choice since it has the reflective power. 2) Linen is a perfect example of a lightweight material that will increase the sense of airiness in the room.

I’ve been eyeing on a couple of different ones on the internet and also managed to find some beautiful inspirational images on bedroom styling with linen duvet. I’m really loving beige or light grey ones, they both blend really well with charcoal or white sheets too. Hmm.. decisions decisions! Any suggestions..anyone?
